The Monadnock Conservancy, a land trust serving the Monadnock region of southwestern New Hampshire, is based in Keene, N.H. The first land trust in New Hampshire to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission in 2008, we currently hold conservation easements and fee ownership on 21,000 acres in 28 towns.

 

Conservation project manager
The conservation project manager will complete conservation easement and fee-land acquisition projects in our 39-town service area by managing all phases of acquisitions. The successful candidate will oversee land protection projects and programs of increasing complexity, including those requiring extensive and diverse fundraising. In particular, we are seeking an individual with enthusiasm and expertise in farmland conservation and “community conservation” projects and programs.

The full-time position joins a staff of nine. Team members demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an intimate love for the local landscape. Compensation is consistent with national trends as described in the Land Trust Alliance’s Salaries and Benefits Survey and includes group health insurance, employer-paid term life insurance, and retirement savings plan eligibility.

Office manager
We're looking for someone who can ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Conservancy's dynamic office through supplies and equipment management/maintenance; phone system management, including phone receptionist duties; visitor greeting; minute-taking at meetings; meeting planning and logistics; event planning and logistics; direct administrative support of the executive director and development director, including the processing of donations; and other general administrative duties as assigned.

The position is part-time (approximately 24 hours per week) and non-exempt. Compensation range is $18-$21/hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include retirement plan eligibility and employer-paid term life insurance.
