The Monadnock Conservancy, a land trust serving the Monadnock region of southwestern New Hampshire, is based in Keene, N.H. The first land trust in New Hampshire to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission in 2008, we currently hold conservation easements and fee ownership on 20,000 acres in 28 towns.

Current opening: Conservation project manager

The conservation project manager will complete conservation easement and fee-land acquisition projects in our 39-town service area by managing all phases of acquisitions. The successful candidate will oversee land protection projects and programs of increasing complexity, including those requiring extensive and diverse fundraising. In particular, we are seeking an individual with enthusiasm and expertise in farmland conservation and “community conservation” projects and programs.

The full-time position joins a staff of nine. Team members demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an intimate love for the local landscape. Compensation is consistent with national trends as described in the Land Trust Alliance’s Salaries and Benefits Survey and includes group health insurance and retirement savings plan eligibility.
